Mechanicsville Senior Portraits at Rural Plains in Fall

I just loved how natural Madison was in front of the camera! We had such a fun afternoon exploring Rural Plains Battlefield Park for her Mechanicsville senior portraits on a sunny fall day!

I’m also excited when seniors bring along props that are important to them. And it seems like more often than not, that special item seems to be a violin! You can tell how much Madison loves her violin by the special care she takes of it as she took it from its case to pose with it for photos!

I brought along a few tan vintage suitcases I’d thrifted as props (and one blue one that used to be my grandmother’s!) And I couldn’t resist bringing along a friend’s grandmother’s vintage Schwinn bicycle with basket!

I didn’t realize until toward the end of her senior session that she was actually referred to me by one of my first ever MAP seniors (and that we’d actually shoot in the exact same location—ha!) It always warms my heart when my families recommend me to new MAP families!

Madison, I hope you have a spectacular senior year! I know the future holds big things for you!

Here are a few of my favorite images from Madison’s Mechanicsville, VA Senior Portraits!
