Destination and Charlottesville wedding photographer

Whether you’re having a Charlottesville wedding, or you’re getting married abroad. . . you’ve found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Now you’re searching for the photographer who will document the next chapter of your love story—including the day where you’ll stand in front of your loved ones and say, “I do.”

Perhaps one of my past couples or vendor friends has sent you my way. Or maybe you’ve been scrolling through photos online and you came across an image that spoke to you. I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome! I hope you find something in my work that resonates with you and draws you in.

Securing my services for your date is simple and begins with a simple click of a button.

The Process

reach out if . . .

You’ve got a creative eye, a sentimental streak, and a kind heart.

You appreciate the real, candid, joyful, and emotional moments in addition to posed portraits. Your cherished photos of your family and friends line your shelves in your home. You want someone to capture not just photos, but the story of your day.

And one of the photos you’re most looking forward to seeing is one that captures your love’s expression as you walk down the aisle toward them.

If this sounds like you, we should talk!

Our Consultation

After you contact me, I’ll send a quick questionnaire to learn more about you and your wedding. Then, let’s hop on a Zoom call to get to know each other! I can share my screen to show you wedding galleries and a sample proposal. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.

I work with a lot of couples from out of state who plan destination weddings in Virginia, and Virginia couples who plan destination weddings far and wide. I’m experienced at the proactive communication that makes either scenario work!

Officially Official

We’ve all signed the proposal and are official!

Congrats! You can breathe a sigh of relief that you’ve knocked something off your list. (I, on the other hand, am now doing a happy dance in front of my computer that’s so awkward my cat is rolling her eyes in silent judgment.)

First, I’ll send you an email confirmation. Then I’ll mail you my printed planning guide with helpful tips for your engagement session and wedding day photography.

Next, it will be time to start planning your engagement session!

your engagement session

Engagement sessions can be scheduled anywhere in the world (additional travel fees may apply) and at any time before your wedding. Choose a location that has sentimental meaning to you, find somewhere with a beautiful landscape or architecture, or go somewhere new that the two of you can explore together!

Not only does an engagement portrait session give us a chance to get to know each other better, but you'll also learn how I pose couples so you'll be a natural on your wedding day and will have one less thing to worry about!

timeline planning

About eight weeks before your wedding day, I’ll reach out to start collecting information for your wedding timeline and family formals list.

I work with you and your wedding planner to customize a wedding photography timeline to relieve the pressure and stress from the day and make sure your must-have moments are captured beautifully.

We plan everything out early so you aren’t mired in details on the days leading up to your wedding day.

Your Wedding Day

You’ve dreamed of it, planned for it, and waited for it, and now your wedding day is finally here!

For much of the day, I’ll be a documentary wedding photographer—capturing life’s candid, unscripted moments as they happen. During this time, you shouldn’t even know I’m there!

Other times of the day, I’ll be more hands-on—styling your wedding details, coordinating family formals, orchestrating a First Look, and arranging your wedding party.

This mix of candid moments and naturally posed portraits is the secret sauce that allows me to capture images in a way that tells the story of your day completely. Through your images, you’ll be able to relive your day and share it with others for generations to come.

Your Wedding Gallery

About six weeks after your wedding, you’ll receive your personalized gallery of edited images. You’ll have access to my professional lab to order images directly if you choose. And you’ll get full printing rights to download your images and print them wherever you like.

Your Wedding Heirlooms

One of my favorite ways for you to experience your wedding images is through an archival, legacy wedding album. These heirloom albums are the perfect way to relive your wedding day together. After your full gallery is delivered, I’ll send an email to start the simple design process.

Next Steps

I hope you’ll reach out and see if I have your date available! I can’t wait to hear from you! Each wedding day is different, so I’d love to learn more about your day so I can give you a customized quote.

Investment

Eight-hour collections begin at $6000 and include a second photographer and travel to Charleston, SC, Virginia, and the DC area. Many couples spend $7000 - 9500. Engagement sessions, welcome party coverage, additional hours and legacy wedding albums are also offered.
