Kellee and Randy’s friends and family were in for a real treat the eve before their wedding as guests were invited to a rehearsal dinner at their Virginia wedding venue, River Uplands Farm.

The groom’s mother, Donna, owns the Fudge Street Cafe, and she planned the event with lots of good food and lots of beautiful details, all nestled under a large willow tree on the property. Guests dined on blue and white buffalo plaid blankets with little picnic basket favors. Each blanket was decorated with a red pillow and a pillow with a customized quote about ‘love.’ Kellee’s pillow featured the entire verse about love that was read during their ceremony.

Boxed dinners prepared by the dedicated staff at Donna’s cafe’ (that closed for several days so the family could prepare for the rehearsal dinner and celebrate their son’s wedding!) cooked for several days making Randy’s favorite dishes including: Lebanese meat pies, cream puffs, chocolate dipped bacon and a lemon infused Tabouli salad. Kellee’s favorite beverages, a lavender lemonade and a raspberry lemonade, were served iced in mason jars. Champagne for toasting was served in blush gold champagne flutes. The kids in attendance enjoyed their own special menu of chicken nuggets and Kraft mac’n’cheese.

Everyone had a great time playing cornhole under the twinkle lights, sharing family stories and playing lawn games. Then the couple shared a few words of gratitude and a few gifts with their family and wedding party. The groomsmen made good use of their monogrammed lawn chairs during the festivities, and the bridesmaids opened their gifts of matching robes and bracelets. A few tears were shed as the family opened sentimental gifts chosen for them by the couple, including a signed baseball Randy gave his new father-in-law—a nod to how this love story all began back when the bride’s dad was the groom’s baseball coach.
