Richmond Family Photography in Byrd Park

I love photographing families but find that once wedding season kicks in, I don’t get to shoot as much Richmond family photography as I’d like. So I picked a random Saturday when I wasn’t booked, put the word out, and set up this sweet teepee with florals at Byrd Park by The Carillon in Richmond, Virginia!

Over the course of a few hours, I had the pleasure of photographing 11 families and one sweet pup! After a cold, wet winter (there was still soggy ground and mud everywhere) it was great to have the opportunity to spend the day outside. I’ve had the privilege to have had many of these folks in front of my camera before, and I had a great time meeting getting to know some of their family a little better. What a fun day filled with cute kids and lots of laughs!
