Covington Engagement - Kellee + Randy
Kellee and Randy’s Covington, VA engagement session is a stunner! I went with the couple to the Jackson River Scenic Trail for pictures before they headed to the annual Pink Tie Gala at the Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge, VA.
The trail holds a special meaning for the couple, since this is where Randy proposed! He had sent flowers to Kellee at work that day. And when she met him after work he asked if she wanted to go for a walk. They went to the trail near their home and Randy brought along his drone under the pretense of flying it over a nearby field. The drone was hovering nearby as Randy got down on one knee and asked Kellee if she would marry him!
After the proposal, the couple went back to Randy’s home where both families were waiting to celebrate — a very fitting beginning since family is so important to the couple.
The two first met when Kellee’s dad coached Randy’s baseball team when he was just 8 years old. They started their dating relationship over baseball, too— Kellee was at a game to see her nephew play, and Randy was there to watch his brother’s team. Their moms were chatting after the game and so Randy and Kellee started talking, too. A day or so later, Randy asked Kellee for a date to Roanoke.
After their photos on the trail, we headed back to the home they recently bought to finish their session. I had a great time hearing all about their wedding plans and learning about all the special, sentimental details that they have planned for their big day.
I’m so excited to shoot Kelle’s bridal portraits later this spring, and to photograph this sweet couple’s wedding at River Uplands Farm in Millboro, Virginia in June!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Kellee and Randy’s session!
