Claire & Tommy celebrated the night before their wedding at a rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Omni Homestead Resort Shooting Club.
I always love it when I get the opportunity to photograph couples’ rehearsal dinners/welcome parties during their wedding weekend. It’s a great opportunity for me to get to know all the key players before the wedding day!
Claire & Tommy’s family and friends were so welcoming, and they were all so excited to be there to celebrate the couple.
One of the best things about the shooting club as a venue is its sweeping mountain views. And I think all of their guests took advantage of having a professional photographer there to capture portraits with the mountain backdrop them!
Because a rehearsal dinner isn’t just dinner. It’s the first night of your wedding weekend memories in the making!
I also loved capturing all the toasts and the tear-filled reactions at Claire and Tommy’s dinner. More and more couples are moving the emotional toasts from the wedding reception to the more intimate rehearsal dinner.
Having the toasts at the welcome party allows the speakers to be more candid at the smaller gathering. It also keeps the energy up at your reception when you don’t have to stop for toasts!
And since you’ve got a professional photographer there for rehearsal night, those touching moments will still be captured. The Night Before is often full of magic, and having a professional there ensures you won’t miss a single moment.
