Alaska Wedding at Inn at Tern Lake in Moose Pass
Alaska Destination Wedding, The Inn at Tern Lake | Natalie + Ken

Natalie and Ken had the most beautiful summer day for their Inn at Tern Lake Wedding in Moose Pass, Alaska! This was my first time traveling to Alaska, and it was amazing to get the opportunity to explore this beautiful part of our world before the big day.
Since it was summer, it stayed light outside nearly the entire time, which was perfect for making the most for sightseeing. (It also meant no rush to get portraits in before sunset—bonus!)
Ken and Natalie met through a mutual friend. Their friend gathered a group to play volleyball at the Brooklyn Bridge Park that showcases beautiful views over Manhattan.

These two ended up chatting as everyone walked home, and Natalie knew there was a special connection between them. A few weeks later, the same group had another hangout, and these two reconnected. The two of them eventually went out to dinner alone and have been together for seven years since!
In February 2020, Ken planned a trip to Paris for them and intended to ask Natalie to marry him. However, because of Covid and limited travel, their plans changed. They ended up taking an adventurous trip to Alaska to see Natalie's family. They went on a hike to her favorite spot, Hatcher Pass, and he proposed in a gorgeous mountain valley on her birthday. Doesn't that sound amazing?!
Ken and Natalie celebrated their Renoir Garden Party-themed wedding in Moose Pass, Alaska, at the beautiful Inn at Tern Lake wedding venue, which offers magnificent views of the Kenai Mountains. Every step you take on the property showcases an unreal backdrop. This remarkable Alaskan wedding venue displays acres of beauty and adventure for a uniquely Alaskan wedding.
Natalie is an amazingly talented artist, and she designed and painted their wedding invitations and their signage. Guests found their way to their reception table by looking for the different Alaskan wildlife featured on the seating chart—bears, whales, and norwhals whimsically graced the tables. I was blown away by how amazing everything looked!
Ken and Natalie shared their first dance to the John Legend classic song "All of Me," sung by Natalie's best friend during their reception. They chose this song because it was popular when they first met and fell in love.
Ken and Natalie, it was beyond my pleasure photographing your wedding day and getting to know your amazing ‘Alaskan family’ and East Coast friends! I truly felt honored to be a part of your festivities and had an absolute blast exploring one of the most beautiful places in the world!
