Cosmos Club Wedding in DC - St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church Ceremony

Celine & Danny had the most beautiful Cosmos Club Wedding with a ceremony at St. Joseph’s on Capitol Hill!

The couple met alllll the way back when the two were middle school students growing up in McLean. How cool is it when you’ve known your person that long? The two reconnected in their mid-twenties and knew they had something special.

Cut to their January wedding day, when the forecast called for record-breaking snow and ice. Thankfully, as we got later in the week, the weather forecast improved. And ultimately, on their wedding day, it was cold, but the foul weather held off until after guests had left the reception!

Patrice from Exclusively Events by PG was the creative mastermind behind all the planning and design for Celine & Danny’s wedding day, and it’s always such a treat to work alongside her and the vendor team of pros she assembles, such as Bowen Films! (Such a great video team. I highly recommend them!)

The church ceremony was beautiful, and their reception was so elegant and so much fun. After dinner, toasts, Persian honey ceremony, and cake-cutting, drummers led the guests from the glowing, candlelit ballroom through Cosmos Club to end the night dancing.

After this Saturday wedding, did I get trapped in my DC hotel room until late Tuesday when conditions finally allowed the trains to resume back to Richmond? Yes, I did. Would I do it a million times more to have celebrated with this incredible couple? You betcha!

Celine & Danny, it was my absolute pleasure working with the two of you for your wedding photography. You two were troopers braving the cold, and made our job so fun and easy!
