Ben and Kelly’s Glenthorne Farm Wedding in Nellysford was precisely what they envisioned! Simple, laid back, with no agenda. These two were just so excited to get married finally!

Kelly and Ben met over #craftbeer on Instagram. They share the love for craft beer and bonded over that! It was only fitting for them to have a craft beer unity ceremony during their wedding vows. They each selected their own favorite craft beer that represented their individual selves and poured each one into a bigger glass to represent them joining together as a couple. Then they each took a drink of it. I love this idea, and so fitting for their love story!

Glenthorne Farm is a historic wedding and event venue in Nellysford, Virginia, on #Nelson151, and it provides gorgeous mountain views, a carriage house that the couple can stay in during the weekend, and there’s even a waterfall on the property! This little hideaway makes for the perfect spot for a wedding. Not only do the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains make for a fantastic backdrop for photos, but the working hop fields are also incredibly beautiful. (Think wine vines, only taller!)

It was memorable to see them surrounded by their close family and friends to become husband and wife.

They had a place for their guests to write them a letter and put the message into a bottle during their reception. On their first anniversary, they will open all of these letters! They had the most beautiful intimate reception under a tent with cafe lights twinkling overhead. Everyone enjoyed the evening with a delicious dinner and wedding cake, and they danced the night away.

As the evening came to an end, it started to rain. As they walked back from their cake cutting, I grabbed a couple of candids of Ben and Kelly sharing a kiss as they walked back to the reception.

Ben & Kelly, you two make such a great team and it was so fun seeing you get to celebrate together in an event that was 100% you (after three canceled weddings!)
