Andrea & Rodger's Intimate Red Fox Inn & Tavern Wedding in Middleburg, VA, was elegant in its simplicity.

Rodger and Andrea met while in grad school at Columbia University in New York City where they were both working towards their PhDs. They first met at the Mechanical Engineering Department Christmas party held at a bar called Arts & Crafts.

These two had a perfect intimate wedding with only their best man, maid of honor, and immediate family. Intimate weddings have a special place in my heart because they bring out so many emotions.

The couple calls Colorado home now, and so their pup wasn’t able to join them for the journey to their Virginia destination wedding. So they included their sweet dog’s face in their wax seal that was the perfect finishing touch for their invitation suite. They also thoughtfully included postage stamps that told their love story! A stamp for Columbia University, one for Colorado and Virginia, and a tiny red fox stamp to commemorate where they were married!

Red Fox Inn & Tavern is a gem of a venue that is perfect for intimate weddings, and they take care of a lot of the details. Middleburg is the quaintest little town with definite European vibes. When you explore the Red Fox Inn’s grounds you’ll be transported to intimate little secret romantic gardens. This historic property provided a timeless setting for a truly memorable wedding.

With their spring wedding, flowers were blooming and beautiful landscaping made for a magical backdrop for their special day. Their ceremony was held outside, with an indoor reception in the Jeb Stuart room perfectly matched for a special gathering.

Once Andrea stepped into her wedding dress, she shared a sweet first look with her father. This was a special moment for them, as they hugged with emotion, and then her mother joined them for a few photos.

The cutest little flower girl and ring bearers walked down the aisle right before Andrea and her father did. As Andrea and Rodger came together in front of their family to become husband and wife, Rodger started choking up while reading his vows.

After the ceremony, these two and their family enjoyed a fabulous meal and a two-tiered wedding cake. They also had decorated cookies for everyone with details of their initials, wedding date, florals, and a picture of their dog. They sat at a large table decorated beautifully with candles, flowers, and an elegant menu tucked inside the cloth napkin.
