Lauren + Yianni’s Maymont Engagement Photos

Before we take a look at some of my favorite photos from Lauren + Yianni’s Maymont engagement photos, we’ll start at the beginning with how they met! Mutual friends introduced the couple a few years back when he was attending physical therapy school. About a week later, he joined Lauren and some friends at a Richmond Kickers game where they started talking, and they have been together ever since! The couple has built on their relationship through a strong foundation in God, and they’ve bonded over their shared love of movies, food, and family.

How He Asked | The Proposal

Yianni completely surprised Lauren with a sunset proposal at the rooftop bar of The Hof Garden this past October. It was a very meaningful location for them both because it was where they had first said, "I love you" to each other. Lauren was further surprised to learn Yianni had arranged an engagement party afterward with their family!

Richmond Engagement Session

I met up with Lauren and Yianni at En Su Boca where the couple had their first date before we headed to the location of their second date for their Maymont engagement photos! Even though it was January, we were lucky enough to have a sunny day in the 50s to explore the park together. We had such a great time, and it was so fun getting to know these two as we captured lots of great shots of them.

I can’t wait for their fall wedding at Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral!
