Amy and Mike's Red Fox Inn & Tavern Wedding at Christmas was on a lovely winter day.

Ten years ago, Amy's sister introduced her to Mike. After getting to know one another, they realized they had something special. Mike proposed in one of the hidden gardens in Middleburg—it's one of their favorite places to spend time!

The Red Fox Inn & Tavern is one of my favorite places to photograph small, intimate weddings. Amy and Mike enjoy places with history and elegance, and The Red Fox Inn & Tavern certainly delivers! I've photographed a few weddings here, and each is different in its way. And the staff seem to go above and beyond to ensure all of their couples feel special and cared for on their wedding day.

Amy and Mike helped each other get ready and complete the final touches. Amy pinned Mike's boutonniere, which felt like such a loving moment. It's rare for couples to get ready together in the morning on their wedding day, but it makes their day more intimate.

We headed outside for photos as soon as they were ready. Even in the winter months, the property of this Middleburg wedding venue is so lovely. Amy wore a beautiful white fur wrap over her dress to fight the chill.

Their closest family and friends gathered in attendance for their ceremony. It was remarkable witnessing them share their vows and love for one another as their closest loved ones enjoyed this memorable time with them.

An elegant reception was held in the Jeb Stuart room, which was beautifully decorated by Amy’s mom. Her mom regularly decorates mansions for the holidays in her town, so she jumped at the opportunity to help personalize the reception space for the couple.

She used small vases filled with greenery and small red Christmas berries for centerpieces. As a nod to each family’s heritage, she included Belles of Ireland for Mike’s family & glass ornaments to represent Amy’s.

We stepped outside for a few minutes during their reception to take a few nighttime portraits, and it was so worth it! Wreaths and garlands decorated the Inn beautifully.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Mike and Amy, I loved working with you both, and am so happy for you two! Here’s to a lifetime of wonderful Christmases and all the lovely moments in between spent together.
