If you’re looking for a European-inspired wedding venue in the DMV area, you may want to consider a Larz Anderson House wedding in Washington, DC . Trust me when I say this DC wedding venue is an absolute gem tucked away in the heart of the city.

I’ve had my fair share of traveling to the DC area over the past year for engagement sessions and weddings, and I still can’t get over everything that DC has to offer. Anderson House is a DC wedding venue with history around every corner.

There is a grand marble staircase that is truly magnificent. It makes the best place for a grand entrance! From gold accents to captivating art pieces, everything adds a touch of elegance to your wedding day. I can’t help but love the timeless backdrop it provides for wedding celebrations.

What sets Anderson House apart is not just its exterior charm - the interior is just as beautiful. From the intimate window nooks to grand halls, every inch is a canvas waiting for those perfect wedding photos. This DC wedding venue has been a hub for entertaining for over 150 years, even welcoming past presidents. The fact that weddings get to unfold here feels like a full-circle moment.

Anderson House accommodates up to 150 guests, making it an excellent venue for those planning a smaller wedding. The flexibility is fantastic, whether you dream of a grand celebration or a cozy elopement.

In the heart of DC, Anderson House is a DC wedding venue surrounded by fantastic hotels, making it convenient for your guests to shuttle over.

I was excited when I photographed this editorial to learn that the beautiful couple I’d be photographing was a real couple! These two beautiful souls are actually in a relationship, and it was fun being able to capture their real emotions for each other. We had so much fun exploring the grounds together in their beautiful gowns.

This DC wedding venue won me with its elegance, rich history, and cozy spaces. I hope to return to Anderson House soon, so if you’re getting married here and need a DC wedding photographer, I’d love to hear about your wedding vision and how I can help you capture it.
