Angie and Chris had an elegant celebration for their Congressional Country Club Wedding in Spring.

These two have known each other since kindergarten, but their friendship didn’t truly blossom until their senior year of high school. They went to prom together that year, and just one week before their high school graduation, they officially started dating.

Eight years later, they went ring shopping together to pick out the perfect symbol of their love. Once the ring arrived, they celebrated with a low-key dinner at a lovely restaurant.

They chose the Bethesda, MD, wedding venue, Congressional Country Club for their wedding venue. This choice held a deep sentimental value as Chris’s grandfather was a longtime member.

In hopes their grandchildren would one day choose Congressional for their wedding, his grandparents retained their membership for years. What a perfect choice it turned out to be!

A spring wedding with a color palette of white and green with accents of red and gold to pay homage to Angie’s Chinese background was nothing short of magical. The blend of cultures and styles added a unique and beautiful touch to their day.

Angie and her bridesmaids wore matching pajamas while getting ready in the morning. It was a fun and cozy way to kick off the day and capture candid moments before all the festivities began.

One of the highlights of their wedding day was the first look. Chris and Angie shared an intimate moment, allowing me to capture some truly breathtaking portraits around the lush grounds of the Congressional Country Club. Angie wore an incredible bridal cape that flowed in the wind, adding an ethereal touch to her look. (Here’s your cue to consider a cape veil, ladies—this was so cool!)

Their ceremony took place on the terrace, overlooking the picturesque golf course, with a wooden arbor adorned with florals as a stunning backdrop.

After the ceremony, Angie changed into a stunning red and gold Chinese dress and we grabbed a couple of quick photos after the dress change before they headed into the reception.

The reception was an absolute blast, with guests enjoying different food stations, outdoor games, and lots of dancing. At one point, the DJ played the Pokemon theme song, and the folks on the dancefloor went wild. It was a perfect day with their friends and family surrounding them with laughter and creating unforgettable memories.

Angie and Chris, it was an absolute pleasure working with you and capturing your DC engagement photos and your magical wedding day. The whole day reflected your love story, blending traditions, and it was just so much fun. I wish you a lifetime filled with love and countless little moments together.
