Richmond Elopement Photography | Ashtyn + Matthew
When Ashtyn first reached out to me about her Richmond wedding to Matt, she wrote that she was most looking forward to photos of the two of them at the altar during the ceremony, and pictures of their first dance. Little did any of us know that conditions would soon arise that would allow us to grab those photos, but everything else would change.
A pandemic would cause their venue to close and social distancing mandates would prevent all but five of their guests to have to witness the wedding via a Zoom conference call from their own homes.
And while their day looked nothing like they planned, it was still, sunny, beautiful, emotional, and filled with laughter and love!
The decorations they’d planned to use at their wedding venue looked lovely in their home. Uncomfortable shoes became optional, and their beloved pup was able to join them for the festivities. Friends and family dressed up in bridesmaids gowns and suits and watched from their computer screens. And the tears flowed as emotions ran high. It was intimate and perfect.
Ashtyn and Matt, it was truly an honor to be there to capture your wedding. I’m honored to have been there to witness the beginning of your love story’s next chapter!
Here are a few of my favorite images from Ashtyn and Matt’s Chesterfield elopement!
