Sasha and Matt’s Historic Polegreen wedding photos are so romantic, but there’s an extra touch of sweetness (and cuteness) involved because their son joined them for portraits!

The couple got married earlier than planned in August 2019 so Matt could legally adopt little Liam. They had kept their original date of October 2020 for their Barns of Kanak wedding, and planned to celebrate with family and friends then. But with the uncertainty of the Fall looming over them in this crazy season, they decided they didn’t want to wait any longer for their ‘official’ wedding photos!

I’ve had more than a dozen postponed weddings this year, but this was my first ‘preponed’ wedding! Sasha is a photographer herself and really wanted wedding photos taken of the three of them. So we moved their wedding portraits up a few months to help them document their first wedding anniversary in an epic way!

We headed over to Historic Polegreen Church to take photos! It was a beautiful location for wedding photos and the golden hour light was perfect!

We met up first at a nearby park for a First Look. Matthew and Liam got to Rural Plains first, and I had time to get them in position and grab a few shots before Sasha arrived. It was so sweet to see Matthew and Liam interact, and Sasha looked stunning in her flowy, sparkly dress and veil!

A big tree in an open field was the perfect backdrop for their First Look. And Matthew’s face when he saw how beautiful Sasha was said it all. (Kimmy Huynh Artistry helped Sasha rock her gorgeous natural curls, and they are so stunning I almost want to retire my hair straightener!)

We had a great time wandering around the park for portraits before heading over to Polegreen Church for sunset portraits. These two are so romantic together and their little family is just the sweetest. Little Liam is such a cutie and is already a charmer. You could tell he liked seeing his mommy all dressed up (and he was very interested in her bouquet!)

Sasha and Matthew, it was so fun spending time with you and your little guy. You guys are the sweetest, and I’m sending all my best wishes your way!

Here are a few of my favorite images from their Historic Polegreen Church wedding celebration!
