Ashley and Clayton’s love story is one of the pandemic’s silver linings. They met, started dating, got engaged, AND got married, all during the COVID pandemic! (You can read more of the story about how they met in this article on Brides!)
Clearly these two march to the beat of their own drummer, which was very obvious during their engagement session. . . which ended with their wedding first look!
The two shot their engagement photos in August in Virginia and were married in November in North Carolina. But they commemorated Ashley’s Virginia ties with a Virginia wedding first look!

Couples often change into a second outfit for their engagement session (sometimes in their cars), but I’ve never had a couple change into their wedding clothes!
We planned ahead for this and chose this location because it’s less populated so they could have some privacy for their wedding first look.
Ashley’s parents came along and actually constructed a make-shift dressing room on location where Ashley could get into her dress!
