Tom and Jim's Richmond Engagement Photos at Private Residence were so much fun as I captured them in their true element.

These two met through an online dating site. The two had been chatting for several months before actually meeting. Once they set up a time to meet in person, it was love at first sight!

On a beautiful spring day, they traveled to the Norfolk Botanical Garden for a visit, as they both love walking around and enjoying the beautiful sites here. The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom, and they had decided to sit on a bench under one of the weeping cherry trees.

Tom knew it was the perfect time to propose to Jim. Before his loving speech was over, Jim had already accepted and said yes! They said there were so many smiles and happy tears during this moment!

It is always great to have an engagement session at locations that have a special meaning to my couples. Jim’s dear friend lives in this classic Westover Hills home. Its gardens are so magazine-worthy that they’ve actually been featured in publications before. (And it also happens to be the same family as one of my past brides and is the same place where she chose to get ready for her wedding day!)

It was so fun exploring the property with Tom and Jim, from playing the piano to chilling in the outdoor swing.

It will be such a joy to witness their wedding this fall at Eastern Shore Chapel! I know it will be a great day as their family and friends surround them. Enjoy these favorites of mine from their Richmond engagement photos!
