Maymont Park Wedding Engagement Session

Anna and Joe are fans of the classics. They’ll be getting married at The Cavalier Hotel for their Virginia Beach wedding later this fall, and they chose an always beautiful Maymont Park engagement session!

went on a date night at the end of March, and Joe was finding it to be a little tricky to find a location he liked that was still open in order to take Anna out. He had a very special question to ask her, and with ‘safer at home’ mandates freshly in place, he was having a hard time. After a couple of failed attempts, he decided on a walk down by the canal. Anna thought they were just out for a drive, but Joe was looking for the perfect place to propose! Once down by the canal, he got down on one knee and asked Anna to marry him.

We met up at Maymont Park on a spring day that ended up being a little hotter than any of us expected, but boy was it beautiful! I don’t remember ever seeing the flowers at Maymont look so pretty or seeing so many different things blooming there.

It was great fun wandering the park with these two, and I loved getting to know them a bit better. They made my job super easy. You know a couple is photogenic when you actually blog the pictures where you’re just explaining the poses to them—ha!
