Angelie & Peter’s Roanoke wedding at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church looked like something out of a fairy tale!

When I was a little girl growing up near Roanoke, I always thought St. Andrew’s Catholic Church was a castle. Every time we would drive by, I’d wonder why we never went to Disney World when it was RIGHT THERE!

And St. Andrew’s Catholic Church DOES look a lot like a castle. And I was excited to see it was just as epic inside as it was out. The architecture is stunning, and the cream colors with those bright pops of blue—so beautiful!

And speaking of beautiful, Angelie was a stunning bride, and her bridesmaids were all so lovely! They wore the prettiest burnt terra-cotta color dresses. I loved them and realized I’d never shot a wedding with that color bridesmaid dresses.

Angelie and Peter met at church, and four years later for their dating anniversary, they took a trip to Natural Bridge in Lexington. They toured a cave, and when they got outside and were centered under the giant natural arch, Peter got down on one knee and proposed!

On their wedding day, they both got ready at The Hotel Roanoke. Angelie and the girls chatted while they had hair and makeup done in their suite. Then Angelie stepped into her dress assisted by her maids of honor. Meanwhile, the groomsmen and Peter finished getting ready and grabbing a few portraits before heading to the bar for a toast.

Once the limo had dropped all of them off at the church, Angelie and Peter met up to exchange letters the two had written to each other. We placed Peter in place first with his back turned so Angelie could join him. They held hands as they read their letters.

Their wedding ceremony was beautiful, and traditional Lebanese songs were incorporated into the mass to honor Angelie’s family heritage.

Afterward, we grabbed some portraits in front of the church with skyline views of The Hotel Roanoke and Mill Mountain in the background.

The couple then headed to their reception in Bedford, Virginia. They shared a first dance, raised a glass for toasts, cut the cake, and were given a sparkler sendoff from their wedding party.

Angelie & Peter, I loved getting to work with both of you, and your wedding day was absolutely beautiful! Sending all my best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together!
