Lauren and Austin’s Sandbridge Beach Wedding at a family member’s home was an elegant coastal soirée on the bay.

The boho-chic beach wedding happened in the same place that this love story began. One Memorial Day weekend Lauren headed to Sandbridge Beach with her best friend from college. They stayed at her friend’s godparents’ home, which just happened to be Austin’s parents’ place! Austin and Lauren met on the first day of that weekend. After chatting a bit, it turned out they went to brother/sister catholic schools in the same area. Although they were in the same grade and their paths crossed many times, they had never met.

Fast forward a few years into their relationship, Austin and Lauren were decorating for Christmas! In 2020, they decided to decorate earlier than usual because they needed a pick-me-up after the craziness of Covid. They finished decorating the Christmas tree, and Lauren suggested they step back to see if any gaps needed to be filled with ornaments. Austin snuck out of the room and came back with a box and said he forgot he had one more ornament to add. Lauren opened the box, and it was an ornament that read, “Will you marry me?” Austin proceeded to get down on one knee, and Lauren said yes! They celebrated with family the next day over brunch.

They always knew they wanted to get married where their love story started - Sandbridge. Their wedding day was perfect! Their two pups made an appearance and one even walked down the aisle with the groom.

Lauren and Austin’s wedding colors were ocean blue with chic, earthy tones and rocky textured decor. The two of them shared a memorable first look on the dock before the ceremony. Their ceremony was along the water, which allowed breathtaking views as the backdrop to their big day!

A tent decorated with ocean blue accessories and a dance floor was placed between the water and the house for their reception. Loved ones gave special toasts before they cut into their two-tiered wedding cake. Once the formalities of the reception were completed, the live band played, and the party began.

Lauren and Austin, I loved getting to know you both through your engagement session, wedding planning, and of course, your wedding day. Your wedding day was a beach-lover’s dream, and I had a blast getting to document it!
