Joy-Ruth and William's Bedford Columns wedding was every bit of a sweet summer romance, all while incorporating their cultures.

They became high school sweethearts after meeting in anatomy class. Their very first date was in South Korea. They dated long-distance for three years, and even though it felt like forever, their relationship only grew stronger. They were so excited to finally start their forever life together on their wedding day!

The Bedford Columns is an elegant yet historic wedding venue located right in the heart of Bedford, Virginia. This Virginia wedding venue has impressive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was originally built in 1848 as a preparatory school for boys. Throughout history, the building has served as a hospital, a home for women and senior citizens, and a residence for a prominent couple.

While Will’s groomsmen prayed over Will, Joy-Ruth shared a first look with her father. They then met up on the front porch and shared an intimate first look. He was overjoyed with her beauty and excitement for the day.

William and Joy-Ruth held their wedding ceremony in the Royal Garden at The Bedford Columns. The stunning outdoor space is adorned with lovely stone columns and lush greenery, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the nuptials.

The rain that had been present allllll day finally let up right as the ceremony got underway. One of my favorite moments of the day was when one of the groomsmen played a worship song on his guitar and the bride, groom, wedding party and all their guests began to sing along. It was so evident how important faith is to the couple, their family and friends, and this was just such a pure and beautiful moment that I’ll never forget.

As we walked around the property, there were many beautiful spots for photo opportunities, especially with the mountains in the background.

After saying their vows, Joy-Ruth and William shifted their celebration inside to the Royal Ballroom. This magnificent space provides a clean slate of modern interior, including Crystal chandeliers. The couple adorned the ballroom with lovely gold and floral centerpieces, making the room look extravagant.

Halfway through their wedding reception, Joy-Ruth changed from her traditional white ‘American’ bridal ballgown to a traditional red and gold Indian wedding lehenga. The detailing on this dress was incredible.

Everyone had the time of their lives, dancing the night away and celebrating the happy couple!

As the evening ended, their guests lined up with sparklers to give the happy couple a grand exit. It was a fun way to send off the newly married couple!

Joy and Will, it was so nice working with you both and with your sweet families and friends. It is so obvious how much you both value your faith and your love, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
