Ashley + Nino’s Virginia House Wedding Aniversary

Ashley and Nino were one of my 2018 MAP couples. As their one-year anniversary approached, I was happy when Ashley reached out saying they wanted to celebrate the milestone with an anniversary session! I was excited to see the couple again and we started brainstorming where we should photograph then. She knew they wanted a really epic location to document the milestone, and Virginia House was the perfect choice. Their Virginia House wedding anniversary session was so much fun!

We coordinated when Nino would return from his deployment to reserve the date and the location. This gave Ashley time to do a little shopping. She wanted to wear a wedding gown to relive their wedding day, but after her weight loss her own gown no longer fit. So she found a similar dress and accessorized it with the same navy sash she wore on her wedding day!

Ashley was a beautiful bride, and it was clear that the past year of married life clearly agreed with her too! And as handsome as Nino looked in his wedding tux, it was special to get to capture images of him in his military uniform for their anniversary photos. I love how timeless they look in the setting of this historic Richmond estate.
