Williamsburg Engagement Photo Session | Hampton Roads Wedding Photographers

Lizzy and Tim chose two places that are near to their heart for their Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown engagement session! The Jamestown Island Loop is a beautiful scenic drive perfect to explore the marshland, river views and wildlife! It’s a few miles long and lots of bicyclists were taking advantage of the serene spot as we took photos. The Williamsburg Inn promises iconic luxury, and with the beautiful architecture, terraces, golf course and spa at the venue, it definitely stands up to its name!

I had a blast exploring both areas and getting to know the couple better on a beautiful blue sky, puffy cloud kinda day!

Williamsburg Love Story

Lizzy and Tim both grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia and their families joked from the time the two were in middle school that they should get married. Their brothers played on the same soccer team, but the couple would roll their eyes at the thought of dating each other. Years later, the two ran into each other while they were home for college winter break. Lizzy shared, “Despite the fact that he was a JMU Duke and I was an Old Dominion Monarch, we made the long distance work and the rest was history :)”

After more than five years of long distance dating, Tim surprised Lizzy by getting down on one knee during a visit to Upper Shirley Vineyards. After she said, ‘Yes!’ they were joined by 30 of their friends and family to celebrate!
