Cavalier Hotel Wedding | Andrew + Andrea
Spring Wedding at The Cavalier Hotel
On a beautiful spring day, friends and family gathered for Andrew and Andrea's Cavalier Hotel wedding in the Sunken Garden.
Andrea and Andrew's love story began on an intramural kickball team in the heart of New York City several years ago. Fate brought them together when Andrew's company needed more players, and a mutual friend introduced Andrea to the team.
Little did they know that this encounter would lead to a lifetime of happiness together. While they've given up kickball since those early days, their journey together was just beginning.
During a romantic weekend getaway in the Hudson Valley, right before they celebrated their three-year anniversary, Andrew had something special planned. They ventured out for a short hike at a serene state preserve. At a scenic overlook, Andrew dropped to one knee and proposed.
Since the couple calls New York home, and their family lives all over the globe, they wanted to choose a wedding venue that would not only be beautiful but also provide a seamless experience for their guests.
Once they visited The Cavalier Hotel, it quickly checked all the boxes. And since the Cavalier isn’t too far from Andrea’s parents’ home, Andrew and Andrea loved the idea of being able to return to their wedding venue to celebrate special occasions in the years to come.
From the beginning of the day, it was filled with emotional moments, starting with a first look between Andrea and her father. The look on her father's face when he saw his beautiful daughter dressed for her wedding was priceless.
Andrew and Andrea couldn't wait to see each other, and their first look in front of The Cavalier was so special. Even before they laid eyes on each other, their excitement and emotions were unmistakable. Happy tears flowed as they anticipated the moment they had been dreaming of.
The Cavalier Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding day, with its elegant exterior as a canvas for their wedding photos. A stunning combination of blues, gold, and white, perfectly complementing their vision. Each of Andreas' bridesmaids wore a different shade of blue, with two girls in a pattern. All-white bouquets looked incredible with their dresses.
Instead of a traditional guest book, Andrew and Andrea asked guests to sign fabric pieces and share warm wishes, which would later be made into a quilt. It was a beautiful way to involve their loved ones in creating a lasting memory of their day.
We were treated to a magnificent sunset that bathed Virginia Beach in golden light as the day turned to evening. It was the perfect setting for capturing the golden hour portraits that will help them remember their special day.
The festivities continued with heartfelt toasts, the joy of watching the newlyweds cut the cake, and dancing the night away. Andrea even changed into a fun and adorable party dress, adding a playful touch to the celebration.
Congratulations, Andrew and Andrea! I had a blast, and it was an honor to be part of your wedding day. I wish you two a lifetime of love and happiness together.
