I had an absolute blast traveling to Charleston, South Carolina, to meet up with Lacey and Jordan for their Charleston engagement photos in the French Quarter and Longitude Alley!

Jordan and Lacey’s story first began at a church altar. Lacey had recently moved to Richmond and started attending the same church as Jordan. Jordan's friends learned she was single and new to the area. and knew that he needed to meet her. After a year of trying to get the two together, the couple finally met. . . and it was at the altar no less. But the altar would play yet another important role in their story.

Jordan beautifully planned the proposal, and the sentimental touches were evident. On a Sunday afternoon, he told Lacey they needed to run to church because his friend needed to borrow something. Afterward, he went inside and returned and told her that their friend wanted her to come in and say hello.

As she stepped inside the dark church, she suddenly heard a song that held meaningful significance to the couple. And there, waiting at the altar were candles burning, strewn flower petals, and carefully chosen decorations.

Tears streamed down both of their faces as he asked her to marry him. Once she said yes, there was an eruption of cheering as he'd invited her friends to be there and witness the whole thing.

During their Charleston engagement session, we visited some of the most iconic spots from Rainbow Row to the iconic pineapple fountain in Charleston’s Waterfront Park. While we ventured to Longitude Alley, we were able to get away from the busyness of the city. It's amazing the beauty of these hidden alleyways around Charleston!

To end their session, Lacey and Jordan wore matching leather jackets and looked fantastic.

I can't wait for their Dover Hall wedding later this summer! It will be fabulous to return to one of my favorite wedding venues with this sweet couple!
