Congressional Country Club | Destination Wedding Photographers

Sallie and Bryan had a fun-filled day for their Congressional Country Club Wedding in Fall. The gorgeous grounds and vibrant leaves of the fall foliage made a beautiful backdrop for their love story’s next chapter.

These two crossed paths while both on sports teams for the University of Virginia. Bryan planned out the picture-perfect proposal while they were visiting DC. As they were enjoying the sites of Tidal Basin and Thomas Jefferson Monument, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Several of the accessories Sallie wore on her big day were sentimental to her. She wore an heirloom sapphire butterfly ring belonging to her grandmother. She wore a garter that had been handed down for generations, where each family member who has worn it adds her initials.

Before the ceremony began, Bryan and Sallie shared a first look. They wanted this moment to themselves instead of having all the eyes on them at the ceremony. Afterward, we took portraits of them and their wedding party around the gorgeous grounds of the Congressional Country Club, and the ladies were troopers on a chilly, breezy day.

The ceremony's backdrop view of the golf course greens was amazing. They had the most adorable ring bearers, who happened to be Sallie's young twin brothers. With glee, those two ran down the aisle in matching smocked outfits. All of us were laughing and smiling big at their antics.

Once Bryan and Sallie said their vows, we hopped on a golf cart and went to one of my favorite photo locations at this Bethesda, Maryland, wedding venue.

Lavish floral table statements filled the reception space with white flowers and greenery. Classic elegance filled the room. A special song was played during the reception to recognize Sallie's mom, and Sallie and her mom had a blast dancing to it! It was such a sweet moment and a wonderful way to share a special mother/daughter bond.

Sallie & Bryan, I absolutely loved working with you two, and you had an amazing wedding day! I wish you all the best for a lifetime of happiness together.
