University of Virginia Engagement Session | Sallie + Bryan

Engagement Photos at UVA

Sallie and Bryan's UVA Engagement Session showed the first few signs of spring. It was a beautiful evening with the trees blossoming and the spring sunset.

Bryan and Sallie's love story begins at the University of Virginia as they were both athletes at the college. He was on the soccer team, and she was on the field hockey team. Their paths often crossed with their friend groups, but it wasn't until their third year at UVA that they met.

Bryan carefully considered his proposal as soon as he knew it was time. A couple of months before the proposal, he had gone around to different sites in DC with his photography friend. They chose the perfect spot for him to ask the big question. He and Sallie usually have a staycation in the DC area, so she knew no difference this time!

The morning after they arrived, they decided to walk around the monuments before getting breakfast. As they walked to the Tidal Basin, overlooking the Thomas Jefferson Monument, he got down on one knee and popped the question! Their friend was hiding in the trees taking photos of the whole proposal. It was the perfect moment!

It was only fitting that their engagement photos be taken at the University of Virginia, where they met! The campus was quiet, with hardly anyone around, making it a peaceful evening for their session. Cherry blossom trees had started to bloom, and they were so beautiful.

A stroll along UVA's beautiful campus was a great way to spend an evening. Listening to Bryan and Sallie reminisce on all the memories they had made while attending there was enjoyable. Each couple's story is always interesting to me, and I enjoy being able to hear all about their lives.

I'm counting the days until their wedding later this year at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland!
