Pharsalia Wedding in Charlottesville

Torri and Seth’s Pharsalia Wedding with Sailcloth Tent Reception was everything they dreamed of, with gorgeous mountain views.

These two met through mutual friends they had in Charlottesville. After being together for three years, they have two adorable Boston Terriers! They had taken a two-week vacation in Cancun. During their vacation, Seth booked them a private oceanfront dinner. While waiting for dessert, they had been dancing, and he knelt down on one knee and asked her to be his bride!

Pharsalia has spacious grounds and gardens that are just simply stunning for photos! Seth and Torri loved that the Charlottesville wedding venue would be a special experience they could share with their guests.

Pharsalia is a flower farm in addition to being a wedding venue, and Torri and her bridal party enjoyed making their own bouquets the day before the wedding! I was on hand to photograph their rehearsal and welcome party and was able to capture fun shots of them all assembling their own bouquets.

The couple held their wedding ceremony overlooking the majestic mountains in the distance. They chose not to do a first look because Seth wanted his vision of her in her gown walking down the aisle to him. He had such a big smile as soon as he saw her!

Getting such dreamy portraits of these lovebirds was so much fun! Torri wore a romantic V-neck spaghetti strap wedding gown for the ceremony with a fitted bodice. She wore a cathedral-length veil with appliques at the end. The veil was a great addition to many of the photos.

The reception space at Pharsalia is incredible. The large white sailcloth tent was filled with beautiful greenery and florals from the property, including two large trees that reached up to the highest points in the tent.

White florals were used beautifully to decorate the long farmhouse and round tables for their guests. In one area, they had an inviting lounge area where guests were welcome to sit back and enjoy themselves. The large potted trees adorning the space created a vision of nature.

There was a live band who brought so much excitement and liveliness to the party! It was a fun evening; at one point, Torri and one of her bridesmaids even took over the microphone to sing a couple of songs. (They are both phenomenal singers!!) As the evening closed, all guests grabbed a sparkler and lined up to send off the newlyweds!

It was such a great time celebrating Seth and Torri and seeing them surrounded by all of their loved ones on such a special day. Congratulations, you two! You were both so fun to work with, and your energy was truly contagious! I wish you all the best for a lifetime of happiness together.

Here are some of my favorites from their Pharsalia wedding!
