It was a beautiful fall day for Janna and Sebastian's VMFA Pauley Center Wedding, with wedding portraits in the art gallery!

These two met at the Quirk Hotel while they were both attending a retirement party. Janna was her sister's plus one, and Sebastian showed up late, but the party continued to the rooftop bar.

A conversation started flowing between them, and they laughed all night. Sebastian proposed to Janna while they were home before going to their favorite restaurant.

The wedding day began with a first look between the two of them outside the museum—a moment filled with genuine emotion and excitement. The VMFA's architecture provided an exquisite backdrop for their wedding portraits, with grand staircases and awe-inspiring pieces of art adding a touch of sophistication to each frame.

Their ceremony was held outdoors at VMFA, framed by two floral statements that perfectly complemented the early fall ambiance. We had such a beautiful day and could not have asked for better weather.

Janna looked radiant in her strapless wedding gown by Lea-Ann Belter, excluding sophistication. Sebastian's choice of a navy blue suit complemented the overall aesthetic. Janna's bridesmaids added a pop of color with their green dresses, while their bouquets were shades of peach and orange. Janna changed dresses for the reception, surprising everyone!

As the day unfolded, friends and family gathered to celebrate this sweet couple with a fantastic dinner and dancing. The VMFA proved to be the perfect Richmond wedding venue for their wedding day because of its visual appeal and proximity to their homes.

Photographing the genuine love between Sebastian and Janna was so special. I always love it when I photograph weddings or engagement photos at the VMFA. This Richmond venue offers such a unique setting for couples. I have my favorite portrait areas and enjoy getting creative with different angles.
