Sarah and Adam's chic Estate at River Run Wedding in Summer was an incredible day with many unforgettable moments.
These two crossed paths through mutual friends in the bustling city of New York. I always enjoy hearing how my couples met, and sometimes, it's when they were least expecting it.
Adam proposed during the holiday season and pulled off a surprise that amazed Sarah. They visited the botanical gardens, setting the stage for a sweet moment. The surprise didn't stop there; their friends joined for a celebration afterward.
When these two were looking at wedding venues, they had no plans of booking The Estate at River Run, but once they set foot on the grounds, they fell in love. The venue's breathtaking spaces offer endless possibilities, making it the perfect space for their wedding.
The vision for their day was remarkable. A palette of greens, whites, ivory, and black complemented their contemporary, modern, editorial-styled wedding.
Sarah is no stranger to the world of fashion since she used to work at Rent the Runway, and her artistic eye was evident in all the details. In addition to the perfect aesthetics of the day, the couple deeply valued genuine moments, and truly wanted their guests to enjoy themselves and have a wonderful experience. Tanya from Starry Night Events, one of my favorite Virginia wedding planners, helped execute the couple’s vision.
Adam and Sarah enjoyed time with their wedding parties on the morning of the wedding. The guys sported matching swim trunks and took advantage of the tennis courts and swimming pool. Meanwhile, Sarah and her bridesmaids wore matching pajamas and lounged in the beautiful bridal suite as they got ready.
Once Sarah was in her wedding gown and ready, she shared a first looks with her dad and her bridal party. There were many cheers and hugs during these moments. Adam and Sarah's first look outside the estate was so sweet. The wedding party joined in after couple portraits for photos, popping a bottle of champagne and raising a toast, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration.
Their ceremony, with its picturesque backdrop overlooking the James River, was adorned with incredible floral statements lining the aisle.
The love and support of their guests, who encircled them as they shared their first dance as a married couple, made this moment even more special. As the evening unfolded, Sarah changed into a cute little white dress and danced the night away with her loved ones. Their guests formed a tunnel of love when the night ended, bidding them farewell with a sparkler exit.
Sarah and Adam, being a part of your special day was an absolute pleasure. I’m sending allllll my best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together. I hope you end your anniversary nights snuggled up with a glass of wine as you turn the pages of your wedding album, reliving and remembering each special moment.
