Angela & Jon’s Old Town Alexandria engagement photo session incorporated several of their favorite locations around the area. We started at Jones Point Park, headed to Wilkes Street Tunnel, and ended up at Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary—fitting for a couple who both work as pharmacists and met at a pharmaceutical conference!

Jon says seeing Angela in a red dress at the conference was love at first sight. So it was fitting that Angela wore a beautiful red dress for their engagement session, too! Jon’s mother just happened to have the beautiful fabric for the traditional Chinese dress Angela is wearing. Her future mother-in-law also loaned Angela the jewelry she’s wearing in the first part of their session, which looks perfect with her dress!

I love when couples personalize their sessions, and these two really put a lot of thought into how to truly make their photos all about their relationship. The photos at the apothecary museum are such a nice nod to not just their careers, but also how they met! (And a big kudos to these two during this crazy season. Jon’s been busy on the front line serving customers at a pharmacy, and Angela’s been working long hours figuring out how to get everyone the needed vaccines. We appreciate you guys for what you do!)

I’m really looking forward to seeing these two again this fall for their Maymont Park Wedding in Richmond! Here are a few of my favorite images from their Old Town Alexandria engagement photo session.
