Michael and Meghan had a gorgeous day for their John Marshall Ballrooms Wedding in Spring! It was a classic Richmond wedding filled with love and laughter.

Michael and Meghan attended different high schools but met freshman year when their sister schools had lunch together. It wasn't until a homecoming event the year of their 5-year reunion that their love story officially began. He surprised her by proposing at his parent's home at Lake Anna when she was not expecting it.

THEIR PROPOSAL STORY: Meghan and Michael's Richmond Engagement Photos at VMFA, The Fan, & Libby Hill Park

The day started at Quirk Hotel, where Meghan and her bridesmaids got ready for the wedding together. We headed up to Quirk's rooftop for some pictures. This rooftop's view is so pretty, and in the distance, you can even see The Hotel John Marshall!

Their wedding ceremony was at the historic Saint Peter Catholic Church, located in the heart of Richmond. Historic trolleys transported the family and wedding party from the hotel to the ceremony and then to the reception. A transportation plan is always a good idea—especially for city weddings where parking may be tight!

We stopped at Capitol Square park for their wedding portraits, opting to use the judicial buildings at the park’s entrance for wedding party photos as a nod to the groom’s legal career. Meghan looked stunning in her off-the-shoulder neckline wedding dress with draped sleeves and a long train. Her dreamy bouquet was filled with colorful florals.

The wedding reception at John Marshall Ballrooms was beautiful. The ballroom had soft pink accent lighting all around the room, along with strings of bistro lighting from one side of the room to the other. Each table was classicly decorated with white linens and a beautifully colored floral arrangement.

Meghan changed into a fun blue and white dress at the night's end for their exit, making it easier for her to dance. Their loved ones lined up on the sidewalk, sending them off with a sparkler exit. It was such a great day to celebrate their marriage!

Meghan & Michael, I love how the two of you enjoy each other’s company. You two just radiated joy throughout your day and seemed to truly soak in every moment. May your marriage be blessed with a lifetime of continued happiness!
