Kayla and Wayde’s The Barn at Timber Creek Wedding at Christmas was every bit of rustic romance!

I loved being able to photograph their wedding, as I have known Kayla for years! Together the two share the cutest Tawny Mastiff, named Jäger. Wayde knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kayla, and he proposed while they were on vacation in Florida.

Their wedding party surprised both of them by gifting the couple with a special prayer from each bridesmaid and groomsman. Kayla and Wayde read the surprise prayers while they were getting ready. Kayla was in the chair having her hair and makeup done and had to blot away several tears as she read the heartfelt prayers from her closest friends.

So they could get all their portraits taken before the ceremony, Kayla and Wayde shared a first look before the ceremony. When she tapped him on his shoulder and he turned around, he had the biggest smile on his face, acknowledging how absolutely gorgeous his wife-to-be was! After enjoying the moment between the two, we began taking their couple portraits, and then their wedding party joined them.

Their wedding party looked amazing, as the bridesmaids wore black dresses and the groomsmen wore black suits. Since it was a December wedding, the bridesmaids wore tan fur wraps, while Kayla wore a white wrap.

They chose to have their ceremony outdoors in the pines, which felt magical. Bistro lighting was glowing above, and they had a gorgeous ceremony arch covered in greenery and white flowers. Their wedding was very flower-forward, and I loved every minute of it! (Lauren & team at Monarch Flower Farm did an amazing job, as always!)

For Christmas, the barn interior was beautifully and tastefully decorated. A Christmas tree stood by the fireplace with greenery on the beams and down the center of the tables. There is a cozy and romantic feeling when people have Christmas weddings, and that’s exactly how it felt for their reception.

As open dancing started, Kayla changed into the cutest white jumpsuit so she could dance the night away with her guests! Once the evening ended, while their loved ones lined up outside to get ready for a sparkler exit, Wayde and Kayla shared a private last dance inside. Taking this time to reflect on the best day of their life is always touching to watch. They then ran outside through a tunnel of sparklers and exited the venue!

Kayla & Wayde, I couldn’t be happier for you two. You were both a blast to work with, and I’m sending lots of prayers your way for a wonderful marriage and a lifetime of happiness together!
